Tastes great as it's not sweet.

I have been using this product for 5+ years since my colonoscopy. My doctor recommended I take a fiber supplement after the procedure. I tried the orange and sugar flavored supplements, but they are too sweet and I didn't like the taste. I do not drink sweet sodas/ice tea and I do not put sweeteners in my hot beverages. I feel this original formula tastes so much better than the other supplements. Others might disagree as it depends what you are used to drinking. If you like sweet tasting beverages, you probably will not like this product. I prefer the taste and I hope they do not stop producing it. One other word of advice....after mixing in the liquid, don't let it sit or it will get thick and you won't want to drink it. Drink it down as soon as you stir it.

Very dissapointed with Metamucil Psyllium Fiber Coarse Texture Powder. We were looking for a replacment for BeneFiber which is unavailable do to manufacturing problems. Used product in Hot Tea, made tea slimmy, could not drink all of it, dumped in sink and it left a glob of slim in the drain. If we had known this product does not disolve in Hot liquids such has Tea and Coffee we would not have bought it.Metamucil MultiHealth Fiber Original Coarse Psylium Fiber Powder, 114-Dose Bottle

Metamucil is an excellent product. I have been using it for years and feel that the original coarse works best for me.
Therefore having a standing order that would be delivered monthly by amazon made sense, and seemed a great deal at $10.91 including shipping.
Here is what happened-- Have you already guessed?
January price $10.91-----February price $12.74-----April price $18.13.
An increase of $7.22 in four months is unacceptable.
If you intend to use "Subscribe and save" be warned --- In this case it was "Subscribe and pay a lot later ".
My "subscribe and save" order has been cancelled. For some reason it no longer made sense.
