Great intra-workout product

I am a physician and workout nut. I do a lot of reading on exercize physiology and supplements and I like to know exactly what is in my supps. Most of these pre-workout, intra-workout and post-workout supps lump all their ingredients together in some proprietary "matrix" and there is really no way of knowing exactly what is in them or how much. Also they tend to contain lots of unnecesary, unproven or unstudied ingredients. Most will contain some form of creatine, beta-alanine, stimulants, etc. This is only branched chain amino acids and glutamine and the dosages are precisely listed on the label. L-leucine is critical in activating muscle growth pathways (e.g. mTor). Now I am not sure that this offers any advantage over a whey protein shake when taken before and after your workout, but there are some studies suggesting that BCAAs during a workout offer some benefit. I agree that the flavors are kinda yucky but that is not the reason I choose a product. I just add some Ocean Spray Cran-grape flavor to it and its tolerable.

8 grams of leucine!

This stuff really seems to help my stamina in the gym(strength training). I drink right before or even during my workouts and seems to aid in the recovery process as well. It's a little tricky getting it to dissolve properly; I think you need to use a lot of water and really dilute it. I have the grape bubblegum and tastes ok to me. You can't beat the 8:1:1 ratio of BCAA's.

This product is well under rated, and overlooked. I love the flavor, and the benefit of being sore for less time. Totally recommend to anyone who is looking to work hard and tear stuff up in the gym.
