According to "HEALTHNOTES" Zinc is beneficial for the following conditions in descending alphabetical order;

WHY THIS ZINC?
This is the right Zinc [Picolinate] if you have trouble absorbing enough of it through other means of ingestion or forms of zinc. Being in capsules elininates the need for binders so this is a really good way to get zinc in the ideal and most bio-available picolinate form which is so useful if you have an Inflamatory Bowel Disease or malabsorption problems.
50 mg. per capsule is the ideal dose for most men though a bit heavy for women. Most vendors only carry the smaller of the two bottle sizes [60 or 120 capsules] but "AMAZON" carries both, so we save a little by getting the larger bottle. "NOW" is an excellent brand with a track record of stellar quality control.

Zinc for acne

I was browsing for natural acne remedies and happened upon zinc. I did some research for the best kind to take, and Zinc Picolinate was recommended by a couple of websites. I've been taking one a day for 3 weeks and have noticed a large improvement in my acne. I have less, it heals faster and as a result my face looks better than it has in a long time, consistently for 3 weeks. I am very pleased.

Awesome form of zinc

I definitely notice a big difference with this. I digest food better and I get more energy. Plus, there are other benefits. I highly recommend. I take it along with Thorne Research boron picolinate which has very similar effects (though with a different sort of feel).
