The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse. What's the accuracy rate of Omron pedometers? The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%. What are moderate steps? At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day. The HJ-151 Pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace. What are aerobic steps? The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer separately displays aerobic steps and minutes that start counting after 10 minutes of continuous walking with more than 60 steps a minute. How does the PC software work? The HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP. It keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.
Customer Reviews
simple to use and detailed data
I read the reviews and bought this after having used a couple of cheapies that didn't work right. This goes in my pocket for my walking exercise. It counts steps and aerobic steps so you can get a record of the sustained effort of your exercise. I reset it when I start and record the data at the end of my exercise. This is quite accurate, when I walk the same route it varies the step count only by one or two! Get it and forget all the others. Ignore the plastic holder and just loop it on your waistband and put it in your pocket.
Very happy--
I bought this pedometer for my husband, who was starting to do a little walking. This seemed to motivate him to walk more and more. He was intrigued with the record keeping ability. Worked just great for him. In a matter of a few months, he lost 40 pounds, by walking and adjusting his snacking. Can't say much about how long the product works, as he lost it after about 4 months. But, we've ordered a replacement, since the first one worked so well and was so easy to use.
Of the 3 I bought 1 worked
I purchased this pedometer because it had the BEST reviews out there. I purchased one for my mom, uncle and myself. Both my mom and my uncle's pedometers would count additional steps or not count steps. We programed them and re-programmed them with no avail. My pedometer seemed okay for the first three months, but then I washed it. Unfortunately it never recovered, so that's my fault, not the pedometer. I would say that the belt clip is doesn't work and will not stay in place. Your best bet is to just put it in your pocket and NOT put it in the wash. I am disappointed that only 1 out of 3 I purchased seemed to work. Hopefully you'll get a good one.
